Project: Phased mixed-use redevelopment of a site of a former brick and iron works at Tondu, Bridgend involving the creation of a new community on the edge of the existing urban area by carrying out a mixed-use development housing, a neighbourhood shopping centre with supermarket, medical centre, leisure centre, and a public house/hotel.  In addition the scheme incorporates a waste transfer station to be operated by the County Borough Council. The work carried out by Stansgate entailed representations as part of the review of the adopted UDP; co-ordination of inputs and preparation of an Environmental Statement; preparation, submission and handling of the application with inputs from other professional specialist consultants; and assistance with the preparation of a Section 106 Obligation.  Further phases of the development, which will involve further housing and commercial uses, are now in the planning stage.
