Over many years Stansgate Planning has acted for Arden Wood Shavings Limited in connection with its storage facility at Meriden Road, Hampton-in-Arden. The site, which lies within the Green Belt, is a former MOD ammunition depot and contained a number of storage bunkers.
Stansgate achieved permission to remove the bunkers and to remodel the land, to make more effective use of the site, and is presently working with the adjacent landowners (Packington Estate) and other consultants, to secure a residential allocation of a combined site in the emerging Solihull Local Plan. Further, Stansgate has submitted the site for inclusion in the Brownfield Land Register.
